Professor David Lomas PhD, ScD, FHEA, FRCP, FMedSci Professor Lomas is a respiratory physician and NIHR senior investigator. Over the past 25 years, he has worked on alpha 1 anti-trypsin deficiency and its related pathobiology. Prior to his present role as Head of UCL Medical School, he was a university lecturer and then Professor of Respiratory Biology at University of Cambridge. Currently, he is Academic Director of UCLPartners Academic Health Science Centre and a board member at the Francis Crick Institute. |

Workshop Lead
Mr Karan Rangarajan MRCS MBBS BSc (Hons) I’m Karan, a Surgical Registrar and founder of The OSCE Station, an online medical education platform. My interest in teaching has led me to take up a clinical lecturer position at both Imperial College and University of Sunderland. I’m passionate about educating the current and future generations of doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals on a global scale. When I’m not teaching or cutting someone open you can find me on the golf course. |

Mr Asad Khan MRCS MBBS I’m Asad, currently working as a Surgical Registrar on the Isle of Wight and enjoying balancing gruelling surgical work and ‘Island Life’. I’ve been in several national surgical courses with The OSCE Station and love to pass on surgical pearls of wisdom to the next generation of surgeons! When I’m not teaching or working you can find me driving around the Island in my BMW playing loud music. |

Dr Tarak Chouari MBBS I’m Tarak, a core surgical trainee with an ever growing interest in surgical education. I’ve been involved in the organisation and delivery of several teaching courses with The OSCE Station including the very first National multidisciplinary ‘Healthcare Skills Training (HST)’ course at Frimley Park. I have a strong passion for education and hope to encourage future educators! When I’m not skiing you can find me on the wards. |

Ivan Beckley The recently developed NHS Clinical Entrepreneur programme envisions to develop and support early career clinicians and medical students in pursuing their entrepreneurial ambitions. In this workshop, Ivan Beckley, one of the first medical students to be admitted onto the programme, will discuss his experiences and tips on how to apply and make the most out of the opportunity. Previously, Ivan became the first student to intern with Google DeepMind and is a co-founder of the startup, Suvera Health, which focuses on creating new standards for patient treatment. |
