All submissions must meet the criteria listed below. If successful, abstracts will then be reviewed for consideration in the oral presentation competition. If successful, abstracts included in the oral presentation competition will no longer be considered for the poster competition.
The following criteria must be met in order for abstract submissions to be approved:

All submissions must meet the criteria listed below. If successful, abstracts will then be reviewed for consideration in the oral presentation competition. If successful, abstracts included in the oral presentation competition will no longer be considered for the poster competition.
The following criteria must be met in order for abstract submissions to be approved:
- Projects can be clinical or non-clinical (including but not limited to lab-based projects, medical education, ethics) and can be on ANY topic/specialty. Projects can include research, audits, service evaluations and systematic reviews.
- The project must be done as an undergraduate medical student. It can be done as part of an integrated or intercalated BMedSc/BSc/MSc/MMedSc degree or summer/vacation studentship.
- Abstracts must be no longer than 300 words (excluding the project title and author(s)) and include the following information: Introduction/Aims; Methods; Results; Discussion/Conclusion
- No more than two abstracts by the same individual can be submitted for the poster competition. However, only one, if successful, would be considered for an oral presentation.
- If more than one attendee submits the same abstract (i.e. a group project), it will be considered as one submission together. Multiple authors for the same project would be awarded the same prize.
- An abstract for a project that is on-going may be submitted, but sufficient information must be provided (see #3) in order for the submission to be considered. All posters will be subject to the same marking criteria by assessors.
- If an abstract submission is successful, the submitter must be present on the day and purchase a ticket in order to receive a certificate of participation/prize.
